I am a senior operations executive and entrepreneur with proven track record in creating and managing successful businesses and products, and fixing and building businesses and divisions within companies, particularly in the clean energy space. I founded SunEdison in 2003 with Jigar Shah, which grew to the world’s largest solar energy services provider with a $10 billion market cap and 7200 employees by 2015.
I was asked to join the Department of Energy as Energy Efficiency Advisor to Secretary Steven Chu, then given responsibility to manage the Office of Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs in 2009-2010 ($11 billion deployment).
I am currently President of CBJ Energy, a financing and operations services company developing and managing divisions and projects for energy companies and beyond.
I love all things Baltimore and have lived in Baltimore since I moved here with Constellation in 2002 after Harvard Business School. Despite consulting to companies in California and Massachusetts, I have been very active in the local community. I’m an investor in companies via Baltimore Angels and Blu Ventures. I wrote grants to receive funding for Federal Hill Park. I’ve been a proud board member of Living Classrooms since 2012. I’m on the advisory board of Betamore. I routinely judge at business plan contests regionally, and give classes on entrepreneurship at places like Emerging Technology Center.
